Family Travels-Georgia and Turkey

Our son, Ilya took his first trip abroad (aside from living in Qatar and Bahrain). He will soon turn 2 and we wanted to take advantage of traveling with him as an “infant on lap.” It was his last trip with the reduced airfare and we will definitely feel the impact of paying for a separate seat from now on.

4 years ago I traveled with my brother- in- law to Georgia and I have been wanting to take Ali to my favorite country since then. Traveling with a toddler to Georgia and Turkey is difficult because the streets are cobblestone and uneven and cannot support a basic stroller. It was a lot of physical work and I did not think we would make it at first. With time, we got used to it and became professionals at handling our toddler, the stroller and the luggage as we traveled to many different locations. It was not relaxing. But I think we came back to Bahrain better parents and these might be Ilya’s first memories. Here are some photos from our journey.
